We hold FREE regular valuation sessions. No appointment is neccessary.

Friday 12th July 10am - 12noon & 2pm - 4pm
Please note that Valuation Days are restricted to 6 items or less.
If you have more items we can make a separate appointment to bring them along or we can come and appraise them in your home for large items and furniture.

Boldon Auction Galleries are also available to carry out valuation days on behalf of local and national charities. Over the years we have carried out many Charity Auctions and other fundraising events. Please contact us for further information.
Professional Services
Boldon Auction Galleries provide a full range of professional valuation services for pre-sale, insurance, probate or family division purposes. These can be arranged by appointment at either your home or in the saleroom and in each case are tailored to suit the individual client's needs.
Probate Valuations
We offer an efficient, professional and confidential service for executors and trustees. Duplicate bound copies of the valaution for Probate will be prepared promptly after valuation. We also offer full house clearance if required, collecting all items for auction and removing and disposing of items of no value.
Insurance Valuations
Valuation for sale purposes may vary from a single item to an entire collection. A full bound inventory can be prepared with illustrations if needed.
Valuation for Sale
Verbal valuations for sale purposes are provided free of charge by our Valuers either by appointment or at one of our fortnightly Open Valuation Days held on the Friday after each sale.

House Clearances
We offer a full house clearance service which involves clearing saleable items and disposing of unsaleable property. Our Porters have many years experience in the clearing of properties across the North East.
Commission
17.5% of the total hammer price + VAT (VAT is payable on the 17.5% commission only).
Lotting fee
£2 per lot + VAT.
Minimum Account Charge
Will be £10 + VAT. This will be applied if your goods sell for £60 or less (in place of the commission of 17.5% + VAT).

Illustration Fee (for Fine Art & Antique Auctions only)
Internet £4 + VAT per lot (Applied to all lots submitted)
Catalogue photographic charge of £20 + VAT per lot for items chosen for illustration in the printed catalogue.
Reserves
All lots will be sold without a reserve unless expressly requested by the vendor.
Withdrawls
Boldon Auction Galleries reserve the right to charge a withdrawl fee of £25 per lot + VAT for items removed from Antique and Fine Art Sales by the Vendor if items have been catalogued and/or a catalogue has been published and marketing undertaken.
Descriptions
Please note that in many cases items are grouped together to create a lot and every single item entered will not therefore be described on your final statement.
Payment
Antique & Fine Art Sales:- 28 days after the sale. General Sales 14-21 days after the last sale of your goods, by cheque or bank transfer. If any of your items do not sell at the first auction they will be automatically re-entered into the following auction unless you specify otherwise.
Disposal
All items removed and disposed of during a house clearance will be charged at an additional fee to be negotiated with the Auctioneer. Any items removed from a house and then deemed unsaleable after entering the saleroom will be disposed of without prior notice or consent. Any items either unsold or in our opinion unsaleable may be liable to a disposal charge at your cost without prior notice.
Transportation
Will be charged from £20 - £45 + VAT per hour Monday to Friday and £75 + VAT per hour on Saturdays. Transport is charged from the time the van leaves Boldon Auction Galleries, collects the goods and returns to Boldon Auction Galleries and unloads.
Electrical Items
The seller of electrical goods warrants and undertakes to Boldon Auction Galleries that the items are safe if reasonably used for the purpose for which they were designed and free from any defect not obviously on external inspection which could prove dangerous to human life or health and will indemnify Boldon Auction Galleries, its servants and agents against loss or damage suffered by any of them in consequence of any breach of the above warranty and undertaking. Boldon Auction Galleries reserve the right to make a minimum charge of £3 + VAT per item to have the goods tested to comply with Trading Standards legislation. Any electrical items returned within 7 days of the auction by the purchaser as defective will be disposed of.
Ownership and Indemnity
The seller warrants to Boldon Auction Galleries and to the buyer that he is the true owner of the property, or authorised to sell the property by the true owner, and is able to transfer good marketable title to the property free from any third party claims.
Rights to Photographs and Illustrations
The seller gives Boldon Auction Galleries Limited full and absolute right to photograph and illustrate any lots placed in its hands for sale and to use such photographs and illustrations at any time at its absolute discretion, whether or not in connection with the auction.
